About this car
This Sand Beige Metallic 3.5 sunroof coupe is not running and is offered as a restoration project. The 3.5 coupe is the connoisseur's W111, but a stored car that does not run needs a recommissioning budget on top of an unpublished price. Call for the price first, then work out the cost of bringing it back: the fuel system, the brakes, and ancillaries that may have seized in storage. Only then can you judge whether the total makes sense.
What the photos show
- Sand-beige paint looks straight from a distance, but wings, doors and rear arches show rust spots and peeling, budget for bodywork and repaint.
- Chrome bumpers and grille look bright, no rechrome bill showing.
- Black leather seats look worn and creased but not torn through, budget for feeding and repairs rather than a full retrim.
- Dash is only seen in glimpses and looks aged, can't fully judge cracking from the sampled photos.
- Cabin floors look bare and dirty with carpets lifted in places, budget for carpets and floor repairs.
- Trunk floor and inner wings show widespread rust and peeling paint, budget for trunk welding.
- Engine bay looks complete but rusty around the air cleaner and front panel, budget for sorting and detailing.
- Underside on a lift is heavily rusted with visible holes in the floors, budget for major floor and sill welding — this is the big cost.
Money: No sale price is listed in the data, and the photos show why it would be project money — the underside is holed with rust, so the buyer took on a major welding bill despite the straight-looking beige paint.
