1985 Mercedes-Benz 300SD

• The champagne paint has a flat, satin look rather than a factory gloss, so ask about a repaint before paying for original paint
• Panels look straight with no dents showing, no body money needed
• The Bundt wheels are filthy and blackened, cleaning money only, though the dirt hides their true state
• Brown leather seats front and rear look very good with no tears, no retrim money needed
• The dash and cluster are thick with dust, and the odometer shows 178,779 miles, so detailing money, and the miles cap the value
• The engine bay looks complete with the turbo in place, just grimy, so service money rather than parts money
• The trunk holds a proper spare on a clean alloy wheel, no money needed there
• The last gallery image is a history-report screenshot estimating about 500,000 miles, which clashes with the 178,779 on the dash — settle the true mileage before paying
• No underside photo appears in the sampled photos, so I can't judge the underside

Money: at $4,000 the tidy interior argues fair value, but the flat paint and the 500,000-mile report estimate mean you should pay as if the mileage story is unresolved.
