About this car
This 1984 300CD is offered on eBay by dynamic_motors in Largo, FL. The asking price is $9,995. The car is finished in Blue over Tan, power from a 3.0L Diesel I5 engine. The odometer shows 114,284 miles. On a W123, the vacuum system, glow plugs on the diesels, and rust in the jacking points and rear wheel arches are the usual places to look first.
What the photos show
- Blue paint is dull and faded with dirty, rust-streaked lower sills, so budget for paint correction at best and sill treatment
- Cream seats are stained and worn with a tear opening on the front seat back, so budget for seat repair or a retrim
- Dashboard centre trim is loose and hanging with the radio area open, so budget for dash and console refitting
- Headliner is sagging and detached at the front edge, so budget for a headliner replacement
- Engine bay is dirty with a non-stock cone air filter fitted, so budget for a service and returning the intake to stock if originality matters
- No underside photos appear in the gallery, so can't judge the underside at all
Money: at $9,995 every visible area needs spend — paint, seats, dash and headliner — so the price only works if the unseen underside and diesel mechanicals are strong
