About this car
This 1973 450SL is offered on eBay by miamigarageclassics in Hollywood, FL. The asking price is $15,000. The car is finished in Gold over Brown, an automatic gearbox, power from a 4.5 Liter V8 engine. The odometer shows 88,773 miles. On an R107, check the front subframe mounts and the soft-top well for rust, and on the V8 cars the timing-chain guides.
What the photos show
- Tan-gold paint looks even and presentable in the single photo, no repaint needed from this angle.
- Chrome bumper and grille look bright in this shot, no rechroming cost in view.
- Bundt wheels and tires look clean with tread showing, no immediate tire spend in view.
- Tan seats are only visible from a distance through the windshield, so I can't judge their wear or reupholstery cost.
- The soft top is down and its fabric is not shown, so I can't judge top condition or replacement cost.
- No dash close-up was provided, so I can't judge dash cracks or wood condition.
- No engine bay photo was provided, so I can't judge engine condition or detailing cost.
- No underside photo was provided, so I can't judge underside rust or leaks.
Money: At $15,000 the one photo shows a presentable tan car, but with a single photo the interior, top, engine and underside are all unknown costs.
