About this car
The listing title calls this Ocala car a 300SE, but the seller's own description says “model 250se,” so confirm which car it is before anything else. The engine does not turn over, so treat it as a project either way. The odometer reading of about 12,000 miles is the one point of interest.
What the photos show
- Only one photo is available for this listing — a front three-quarter of a dust-caked red car in a cluttered barn, surrounded by parts and panels — so most of the car can't be judged from photos at all.
- Thick dust and dirt cover every surface, the paint is peeling in patches on the fender, the hood sits ajar, and trim is missing or loose — the photo matches the listing's restoration-project description exactly.
- The chrome grille surround survives and looks straight, which is about the only bright note — glass, brightwork and completeness elsewhere can't be judged under the dust and clutter.
- No interior, engine bay, trunk or underside photos are available — and the listing says the engine does not turn over, so the mechanical and floor condition are both complete unknowns from photos.
Money: $5,000 or best offer for a seized-engine project is parts-and-shell money — the photo's honesty is its value, because it shows a full restoration with no area of the car proven sound.
