What the photos show
- Title says 1936 500K but the photos show a modern replica hot rod, not a real 500K: a supercharged Ford 5.0 V8, Wilwood brakes and modern alloy wheels give it away, so value it as a kit car only
- Silver and black paint is glossy with flame pinstripes on the fenders, no paint work needed
- Chrome grille, horns and bumpers shine bright, no chrome spend needed
- Black soft top fits well overall but has a small nick in the fabric, budget a small top repair
- Gray vinyl seats and door cards look clean and simple, no interior spend needed
- Dash is a modern hot-rod panel with white-face gauges and a banjo wheel, tidy but nothing 1936 about it, no dash spend needed
- Engine bay is a tidy performance build with braided lines and an aftermarket coil, dusty in spots, budget a detail
- A supercharger pokes through the hood side panel, fun for a hot rod, but it kills any pretense of originality, price accordingly
- Trunk is small, carpeted and clean, no trunk spend needed
- Modern low-profile tires on big alloys look fresh, no tire spend right away
- No underside photo is shown in the gallery, can't judge the replica chassis underneath
Money: At $27,000 this is hot-rod replica money and the finish supports it, but no buyer should pay it thinking any part of this car is a genuine 1936 500K.
