About this car
1959 190SL at Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles, CA. White over red interior, removable body-color hardtop + convertible soft top, 1.9L M121 inline-four, 4-speed manual, currently not running, restoration candidate. Harvested from the dealer's own website on Nov 2, 2026 — confirm availability at the source before travelling.
What the photos show
- white paint is dull and tired with rust staining around the wheel arches and sills, so body and paint money is unavoidable
- the rear bumper chrome is rusted through in patches and the front bumper is pitted, a rechrome or replacement bill
- the soft top looks grey, saggy and dirty under its cover, and the hardtop is present but equally dull, so top money is coming either way
- the red interior is worn — the door card armrest is torn and dark with grime and the rear compartment carpet is filthy — budget a deep clean at best, a retrim at worst
- the engine bay shows rust around the battery tray and inner wings with the twin carbs still in place, an inspect-and-recommission job
- the underside photos show surface rust across the floor and a rusty exhaust and tank, solid-looking but needing treatment before it spreads
- the spare wheel is rusty with a damaged, perished tyre, a small bill that sums up the whole car
Money: at $56,500 this is project pricing, not driver pricing — the photos show rust, chrome, top and interior spend stacked on top of the ask, and the value case rests on how much of the underside rust is only surface.
